Hello I am Sharmista Nag and unlike most travellers, I did not quit my corporate job to travel. Because I didn’t have one. Lucky for me, I have always been a freelancer and had my share of breaks in between projects. I spent my early 20’s being a workaholic, late 20’s attending film school, early 30’s trying to be a Director and in mid 30’s I finally became an ad film director. And today in my late 30’s I see myself travelling a lot more, now that this love for travelling is fueled by some money in my pocket which took me a while to save. Luckily I didn’t have to sell any of my belongings. In short, no drama, some patience and sheer passion. Also while I was in film school, I stayed away from home for the first time and that too for three years . This exposed me to the perks of travelling. Today for me travelling is as important as any other routine we do in life. Travelling is the best teacher. Everytime I travel I try to look for some offbeat and local experiences but usually end up going to the touristy places. Travelling exposes me to stories , events , invitations and sometimes when you become a small part of someone’s life, that’s the best feeling. Through travelling I get to pursue photography and cycling, which I love. Travelling helps fuel my other interests and enriches my life. Through my stories and experiences I hope to enrich yours.
